Waste-Reduced Store

Earth’s General Store is moving into our next evolution. April will see us dramatically reduce the use of single-use plastic bags in our store. AS of May 1st, 2019 we will not offer single-use plastic produce bags and plastic bags for people to fill up from our bulk products.



Bulk Spices and Herbs

We use spices and herbs to flavour many of our meals. Earth’s General Store offers Edmontonians an opportunity to refill spices and herbs from our excellent selection of bulk spices and herbs. Edmonton’s Earth’s General Store is leading the way when it comes to reducing waste from plastic packaging. For over 27 years they have offered refilling for many products and over the past few years, they have expanded their offerings. People are embracing a plastic reduced lifestyle and shopping experience. This is part of our War on Waste.



Toilet Paper

We vote every day with our dollars of the kind of world we want. A significant portion of our Boreal forests is cut down to make toilet paper to be flushed down the toilet. There is a better option. You can choose toilet paper that uses recycled fiber content. This supports our recycling efforts and reduces the pressure on forests.
