Come and join us at Earth’s General Store (Whyte) on Sunday, September 27th, 2015 as we once again host Vegtoberfest with the kick off of World Vegetarian Awareness Month (October). You can purchase some great vegan treats directly from the creators, you can find out all about the vegan and/or the vegetarian diet, you can mingle with other people that are interested in plant-based diets and talk with people that have followed the diet/lifestyle for decades.
Sailin’ On Food Truck (Edmonton’s first only vegan food truck) will be slinging their grab and go foods including their famous Vegan Coconut Bac’n (we carry this product at both of our stores), Truffula, Blue Rose Bakery, Moonshine Doughnuts, Emerald Lily Organics, Olympia Catering, Tamiri Bites, FARRM Rescue, Voices For Animals, local artist Erin Greenough, and Vegans and Vegetarians of Alberta.
So come and spend some time with us on September 27th from 11am to 3pm and discover some great food and new friends. Bring your own containers to take home some lunch and treats for the work week.
FYI – World Vegetarian Day is October 1st which kicks off Vegetarian month but we host it the weekend before for obvious reasons.
Check out our Facebook page for the event.
Vegetarian activities are happening through out the month and you can check them out on the nifty events calendar on the Vegans and Vegetarians website.
Something to look for during Veg Month – Meatless Mondays (#MeatlessMonday) we will be having 25% off our vegan cafe menu – that means everything!
